Obama has been in office almost a year now and has little if anything to show despite the fact that he has visited some 20 countries during that time, more than any other president in that period. World leaders respect strength from American presidents, but what has he shown: dithering on Afghanistan, war on terror turned into an "Overseas Contingency Operation", missile sites abandon in Poland and the Czech Republic, humbling bows before world leaders, a long succession of mea culpas, and finally and perhaps most telling failing to attend the celebrations in Berlin commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall. This gets us to the ugly truth about this current president. The fall of the wall was symbolic of the fall of communism in the former Soviet Union--the crumbling of the workers paradise. Socialist and communist here and in other countries did NOT celebrate this event when it happened so why should this president who surely is a socialist and perhaps even a communist go to Berlin for that celebration of the greatest historical event of the past 20 years. Finally, maybe just maybe, Obama foreign policy hasn't been a failure. Could it just be that he wants a weak America, would a weak America fit into some kind of grand scheme this socialist leader has for our once great nation. The failure may be ours for failing to see this despot for what he is; an arrogant self serving socialist who is leading us down a path to destruction. No I will NOT give him the benefit of the doubt for I know the face of the enemy when I see it and this man is no friend to the America I love.
One by one the progressive mayors and college presidents across the south have been chipping away at not only our heritage, but the honor of fallen heroes, many of who died in the great 'War for Southern Independence'. Actually those who would tear down these Confederate Monuments could care less about the statues themselves. It's not about these pieces of stone and bronze stained by the years. It's a power struggle between progressives and conservatives. I thought this was settled, a least for a short while with the election of Donald Trump. I was wrong, and now I fear we are on the losing side once again. Some of us are fighting back. The purpose of this blog is to inform you there is hope. We are attempting to raise funds to erect plaques honoring our fallen Confederate boys in gray. Plaques that will grace the town squares of small towns in the South where they will be welcome. Towns where the voters still have some common sense, unlike those idiots in the large cities and those poor lost young people in our universities. All denotations will be appreciated with the lion's share going to preserve the memory of those who fought and died in that great conflict.
